Just like most puppies, Huskies would open their eyes about 18-20 days after their birth, with their retinas fully formed two days after that. Most, if not all, newborn Huskies, would have light blue to blue eyes, as this is the dominant trait.

When do huskie puppies open their eyes. On average, puppies open their eyes 12 – 16 days after birth. But this is the average time, so sometimes puppies may open their eyes a day or two earlier or later than that. It depends on the individual puppy. Sometimes in one litter, one puppy may open his eyes after 9 days, while another may open his after 14 days, and yet another will open. I have Huskies pups right now & have had them before. It takes between 7 to 14 days for their eyes to open. The average is around 10 days. The eyes are usually blue at first then they can change. My female chihuahua just had puppies 4 days ago & I'm curious to know how long it takes them to open their eyes & to start walking instead of crawling.. I've read about 10-14 days. Is that correct? Thanks for your help! Husky puppies first open their eyes when they are about 2 weeks old. All Husky puppies’ eyes initially appear to be blue, but there's no guarantee their eyes will still be blue as adults. Their eyes will often change color as late as age 4 weeks or 5 weeks.

Puppies ‘ears tend to open shortly after the eyes do, usually about 14 to 18 days old. Their hearing will keep on improving until the puppies are around eight weeks old. For the first two weeks of life, newborn puppies are unable to bear their weight, so they crawl around on their bellies, paddle and try to move their legs and build strength. Puppies are delicate to open their eyes when they are born. When the optical nerves have fully finished its development, the puppies come out of their comfort zone to address the environment around.. Humans, however, should not make the mistake of opening their eyes forcefully, which can result in damaging the optical nerve fibers.. In other words, the eyes stay shut as long as the nerves are. Around the age of 2 to 4 weeks, baby Yorkies will finally open their eyes for the first time. You should definitely expect a 4 week old Yorkie puppy to have their eyes open. 6 week old Yorkie puppies will will have fully developed their sight and will be eagerly walking about and exploring the world around them. In the first few weeks after a husky is born, there's little that differentiates him from other breeds aside from his size and color patterns. All puppies are born with their eyes shut and rely on smell and fumbling around to locate their mothers. Between 2 and 4 weeks of age, puppies' eyes open and they become much more mobile.

Newborn puppies open their eyes when they are about 10 to 14 days old. During the first day of opening, a newborn puppy’s eyesight may not be capable yet of seeing too well. They may detect light and movement, but they may not see details too well as their corneas are still developing. Newborn Husky puppies look cute and literally attract the eye. Toddlers weigh only 350-500 g. This directly depends on the number of puppies in the litter and the gender of a particular individual. Very soon after the birth features of the breed begin to appear. Husky active, real working dogs. Perfect for owners who are in constant motion. "Siberian Husky puppies will open their eyes at approximately 9 days to two weeks of age. Both eyes may appear to be blue/grey at that time and even up to 4 - 6 weeks of age can appear to be blue. This is not true 100% of the time. We have seen eyes change color from blue to brown at 7-8 weeks of age. It is not common at this age but it does. Siberian Husky puppies’ eye color may change. Yes, when they first open their eyes, at around 2 weeks old, all Siberian Huskies appear to have blue eyes. But that’s not a guarantee. They can even change their eye color as late as 4 to 5 weeks old.

EYES. It would be in your best interest to accept the eye color as mother nature intended, and let it be one of your very last preferences in choosing a puppy. All eye colors are acceptable in the Siberian Husky according to the Official AKC Siberian Husky Standard. Siberian Husky puppies will open their eyes at approximately 2 weeks of age. Puppies' ears begin to open soon after the eyes do, generally around 14 to 18 days old. Their hearing will continue to develop until the puppies are around eight weeks old. Newborn puppies cannot support their weight for the first two weeks of life, so they crawl around on their bellies, paddling and pushing with their legs and building strength. However, when they do open, the ears are much more fully formed than the eyes are at this point in time. Usually, within a week or so the puppy's hearing will be fully useable and quite acute. Like everyone else, husky cubs begin to open their eyes on the 18–20th day from birth and the retina is fully formed on the 21–22nd day. In almost all newborn husky puppies, the eyes are always blue or light blue. It is a dominant trait in the breed. Then, between 5 and 8 weeks of age, the eyes might start changing from blue to gray, murky.
